The baby lock gathering foot gathers and applies one layer of fabric to another layer which remains flat all in one go. Use stitch length 4 in conjunction with increading the differential feed. Want twice the amount gathering? Set the differential feed to 2, 1 1/2 times - set to 1.5. As easy as that!
